Ultivac songs are written in five day practicing binges, then left to sit until the next time all three of the band’s members are in the same place at the same time. The drummer plays the drums, except when he is playing the guitar, but then again when he is playing the guitar he is playing the drums along to himself playing the guitar along to Retconned playing a beat that had disappeared weeks before. The bassist just plays the bass and sings. Retconned sings and does the rest: sampling and resampling…through beats and tones battered and fried. The results? Two places at once? Something about televison and tunnel vision and remote viewing and remote control. 9 songs converted to discrete digits and baked onto a piece of plastic….
